How To Book The Wolverhampton Knowledge Test

1. Choose your Wolverhampton Private Hire Driving Training Programme

You will need to pay:

1st attempt: £40
2nd attempt (resit): £15
3rd attempt: £40

2. Before booking the taxi training course make sure you have everything ready

Make sure you have the following ready:

Your national insurance number
Your driving licence number
A picture of your driving licence available to upload
A picture of a document showing both your name and national insurance number to upload
An email address
A debit or credit card with £40 on it

3. Let's start you with your email

Please enter your email (one you have access to)

Once you have entered your email then click ‘Next’.

4. Enter your validation code to go ahead

Please enter the validation code which was sent to your email.

Note: If you do not enter your validation code within 5 minutes into the website then you will need to start again from the beginning.

6. Upload your driving licence

Make sure your ID picture is clear.

An image of the front side of your driving licence is required, clearly showing all of the details on the card.

To upload a picture: take a photo with your phone, email it to yourself and upload it if you’re on a PC or laptop. Make sure it’s clear and all four edges of the card can be seen. Also, it’s got to be in .jpeg or .png file.

Click ‘add file’ to continue.

7. Next, add an image of your national insurance number

Make sure your ID picture is clear.

An image of the front of your National Insurance Card or document is needed.

You can find your National Insurance Number on:

Your payslip
Your P60
On letters about your tax, pension or benefits
In the National Insurance section of your personal tax account

8. Now you can book your taxi training course

Please select a course from the available dates:

All the latest dates will be listed however, if all the available dates are booked then you need to wait for one to become available.

If you cannot find a date then please contact us and we will try and help you with alternative taxi badges you can book within 2 weeks.

9. Found a date? Now enter your personal details

First name, last name, contact number and any special requirements:

Enter all your personal details in order to book your test. Also if you live in Wolverhampton click that square.

10. Check all the details before going ahead

Please check all the details below are correct. At the bottom of the summary, there are terms and conditions which you must accept and make payment to confirm the booking.

11. Proceed to payment details

Enter your card details, name on the card, card number, expiry date, CVC (3 digits on the back) and your billing address.

12. Your booking is now confirmed and you will receive an email

Well done for booking your test!

You will have a reference number which you can quote on the day of the test.

You will also receive a receipt number for your payment.

13. Can't find a date? Contact us

If you can’t find a date for your exam, please contact us and we will provide alternative badges which you can book within 2 weeks. Why wait? Get your badge as soon as possible and start working as a private hire/taxi driver as soon as possible.
